My Story

IP Attorney & Writer

I am an Intellectual Property attorney and writer currently living in Zurich, Switzerland.  My family and I moved to Zurich after 7 years in Denver and 8 years in Seattle, where I was head of IP for Nintendo even though I am terrible at video games.

I grew up in Fairfield, Connecticut, where I wrote for the Fairfield Citizen News and stacked shelves of Coca-Cola during summers.  I attended the University of Notre Dame, where I majored in English and Government and played lacrosse.  Before going to law school and embarking on a career writing cease-and-desist letters, I was a journalist for Inside the Pentagon and speechwriter in Washington, DC for SAIC, which like all bureaucratic jobs, sounds more important than it was.

I continued writing after law school for the amusement of my four biggest critics and fans: my wife, Melissa and my daughters Mimi (a student at Boston College) and Sophie (a student at the Zurich International School) and my mother, who has read my material - the good and the bad - as long as I can remember.

I am always looking to collabroate with fellow writers and look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you,

Chris Parent
